How to enrol

Candidates enrol for the Regulatory Qualification Framework examinations by completing a subject registration form, available for downloading from this site, and returning it to the CIOBS, accompanied by the appropriate fee.

Candidates may register for a number of papers at once, or alternatively may register paper by paper.

Subject enrolment will activate the dispatch of the distance learning workbooks. It is recommended that candidates undertake subject enrolment at least 10 weeks in advance of their intended examination date.

Candidates who are requesting an exemption (normally only granted in respect of credits towards other regulatory awards) must support that request by providing documentary evidence to show that a student has passed an examination. An exemption fee will be charged in respect of all qualifications except for exemptions based on qualifications from CIOBS.

The subject enrolment fee covers the following:

  • Distance Learning Workbook
  • E-mail Helpline
  • One examination entry fee
  • Scottish Banker Magazine for one year
  • Access to the Members' Section of the website for one year

Subject enrolment is valid for 12 months from the date of registration on CIOBS systems.
