Qualifications

CIOBS ACADEMY TEAM

The CIOBS Academy team is led by Raymond Brown.

Raymond has been fully qualified since 1977, is a Chartered Banker and also a Fellow of the CIOBS. He joined the full-time staff at the CIOBS in October 1999.

Prior to that time he worked with the Prudential Assurance Company as a financial consultant for 3 years, although the main part of his career was with Lloyds TSB plc. During his 23 years there, he worked in the retail network business, including positions in branch, area and customer services management.

Raymond is ably assisted by Michael Downey.

Michael is also a fully qualified Member of the CIOBS and he too is a Chartered Banker, having joined us in March 2001.

Before making the move to the CIOBS, Michael worked with The Royal Bank of Scotland plc for 23 years. Michael's RBS career was in general branch banking, although he specialised in international banking for a number of years.

Raymond and Michael both adopt identical attitudes to their role, combining approachability with a resolute commitment to provide a first class customer service.
