Revision Courses ( Chartered Banker & RQF subjects only) CHARTERED BANKER EXAMINATIONS Aim of Revision Courses Chartered Banker students are entitled to attend one free Revision Course for each subject they have enrolled for. The aim of the Revision Course is to provide you with an opportunity to review and revise the subject material before sitting the examination. Wherever possible, CIOBS will attempt to acquire the services of the subject examiner, textbook author or subject verifier to facilitate the day - this adds even greater value to the day, providing a unique opportunity for learning. The course will focus on the main topics and will consider previous examination questions and how they should be tackled. There may also be an opportunity for tutorial work if you find any particular topic a problem. To gain maximum benefit from the tutorial day you should have completed all required homework assignments and be familiar with the subject content. Applying for the Revision Course Applications to attend a Revision Course should be made via this website or may be advised to the CIOBS via email.All applications should be made to CIOBS at least 6 weeks in advance of the course date. Dates of Revision Courses Revision Course dates are published in the Scottish Banker and can be viewed / downloaded from the Downloads area. They may also be communicated by occasional Student Newsletters and by email to those who have elected to receive electronic updates about courses, examination deadline reminders etc. REGULATORY QUALIFICATION FRAMEWORK EXAMINATIONS Aim of Revision Courses The CIOBS currently offer the following Revision Courses in respect of the MAPC, LMAPC and CIP qualifications:
The Revision Courses, delivered by the CIOBS Academy, aim to provide you with an opportunity to review and revise the subject material before sitting the examination. The course will focus on the main topics, i.e. those areas where the majority of marks are likely to be awarded in the actual examination. To gain maximum benefit from these informative days you should have finished working their way through the textbooks and be reasonably familiar with the subject content. Applying for the Revision Course Application to attend a Revision Course may be made via the Events section of this site. Alternatively, prospective delegates can telephone CIOBS on 0131 473 7777. Revision Courses are charged as a separate item and are not included within the subject enrolment fee. Applications should be forwarded to the CIOBS as soon as possible in advance of the course date.
