Emma
Emma has worked with one of the major building societies for just over two years. Although her employers do not require her to hold a professional qualification, they have supported Emma's personal development by funding her Certificate in Financial Services studies which she has now successfully completed. Emma now wishes to further her personal and hopefully her career development and is keen to embark upon a new course of studies which will lead to another qualification. Emma could now consider either of the following qualification options. 1. Diploma in Financial Services As Emma already has the Certificate which involves passing three subjects, including the core subject Introduction to Financial Services, she only requires to pass another three subjects to be awarded the full Diploma. Emma is free to choose what additional subjects to study from the varied menu available to her. As her examinations are available on-line and effectively on-demand, she can progress as quickly as she wants! 2. Chartered Banker Emma is also able to enrol for the Chartered Banker qualification, although she would have to have the formal support of her employers. This requirement to endorse Emma's enrolment at a higher level course is put in place solely to protect her interests - if she had a degree from a recognised EEA university, this would not be required. Emma can then proceed to complete the required eleven credits, although again if she was a degree holder, she would automatically be entitled to three credits, leaving just eight to do! |
