The Graduation Ceremony The Graduation Ceremony of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland serves two main purposes. Firstly, it provides the Institute with an occasion to confer the award of Fellowship, which is the highest honour that the Institute can bestow on an individual. The status which it accords is considerable and indicative of the contribution made by an individual to the Banking Profession, the Institute and the wider financial sector. Secondly, it is an opportunity to congratulate those individuals who have passed their Membership examinations and are graduating MCIBS, the highest qualification awarded by the Institute. The ceremony is also the occasion when the Institute presents prizes to students who have excelled in the examinations for the Mortgage Advice and Practice Certificate, Diploma in Financial Services and the Chartered Banker courses. The Institute's next Graduation Ceremony will take place on Saturday 15th November 2008 at 11.00 am in the Bute Hall of the University of Glasgow. |
