The Biennial Dinner

The Biennial Dinner of The Chartered Institute of Bankers is one of the most prestigious events in the Institute's calendar. The Dinner is attended by the Chairmen, Chief Executives and Directors of the Banks and other Financial Services Organisations. In addition to an important and informative speaker from the world of finance or politics, there is usually a highly respected entertaining and motivational speaker. Some of our past speakers have included Sir Edward George, Governor of The Bank of England, the late Donald Dewar, MP, Secretary of State for Scotland, the RAF Navigator, Flight Lieutenant John Nichol and the Rt Hon Jack McConnell, MSP, former First Minister of Scotland.

The CIOBS Biennial Dinner is considered to be one of the most important corporate events in Scotland and the UK and is usually attended by around 650 people. The 2009 Biennial Dinner will be held on 30th April 2009 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC)
