About Us

Financial Education Partnership

The Financial Education Partnership offers workshops in financial capability and a range of other related topics, to schools throughout Scotland. The aim of the FEP is to benefit teachers and students alike - delivering classroom support to teachers for meeting financial education objectives and aiding the development of real life skills for students in preparation for their adult life.

The service is at no cost to schools. It is funded by a number of financial services organizations and delivered by a team of dedicated volunteers - all of whom are committed to promoting financial inclusion through education. The organisations that fund the FEP are Airdrie Savings Bank, Clydesdale Bank, Dunfermline Building Society, HBOS plc, Lloyds TSB Scotland, The Royal Bank of Scotland and Standard Life. The FEP is administered by The Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.

Since its introduction in 1998 (initially as the Banking Education Partnership) the number of workshops delivered each year by the FEP has seen a year on year increase. In the last school year we delivered over 460 workshops - reaching an estimated 13,500 students. The majority of teachers request our services again and again to help them in meeting curriculum objectives.

If you wish to arrange an FEP visit at your school, please call 0131 473 7777 or email fep@ciobs.org.uk.
