What is a Corporate Patron?
The award of Corporate Patron was introduced to allow the CIOBS to formalise the relationships they currently had with banks and supporting organisations and to recognise the valuable contribution made to the professional development of the financial services sector by these organisations. The aim of Corporate Patronage is to enhance the level of involvement between the CIOBS and the partner organisation and this is demonstrated by a close working relationship and by the sharing of common goals. By committing to become a Corporate Patron an organisation undertakes to support the Institute and to promote and maintain its standards of professionalism. In reciprocation, the Institute will endeavour to support the educational and professional interests of the partner organisation and will endeavour to facilitate where appropriate their involvement at Institute events both at a local and a national level. Externally, the emphasis throughout the relationship will be on improving the professionalism and the level of educational achievement within the financial services sector, whilst increasing sector and public awareness of both the CIOBS and the partner organisation. Internally, the emphasis of the patronage will be about developing an intimate working relationship and promoting workplace performance through education programmes, CPD and enhanced ethical behaviour.
